Crates
Crates are reward chests you unlock with keys. Each crate has its own pool of prizes — blocks, money, spawners, custom gear, and rare materials — drawn at random when you open it. The rarer the tier, the better the loot.
Most crates live at spawn (/warp crates), where you can walk up to the physical crate, preview its prizes, and open it if you hold the matching key. You earn keys by voting, defeating bosses, opening other crates, and from the Store.
TIP
You can always check a crate's full prize list before spending a key. At the crate, left-click to preview the rewards and right-click to open.
Crate types
Every crate uses its own key — a Wilderness key only opens the Wilderness Crate, and so on.
| Crate | How to get its keys | Theme / where it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Wilderness | Found through gameplay and the Store | Early-game starter crate: blocks, cash, and a few custom materials |
| Nether | Found through gameplay and the Store | Nether-themed midgame loot: netherite, ancient debris, fiery gear |
| End | Found through gameplay and the Store | End-themed lategame loot |
| Utopia | Found through gameplay and the Store | High-tier crate themed around the Utopia rank world |
| Vote | Voting — every vote gives a Vote key | Reliable everyday rewards for supporting the server |
| Spawner | Vote rewards and as prizes from other crates | Entirely mob spawners, from pigs up to combat farms |
| Boss | Prizes from boss content | A "key crate" — its prizes are keys to other crates |
| Broodmother | Defeating the Broodmother world boss | Broodmother gear fragments, arena scrolls, and stat shards |
| FrostLich | Defeating the FrostLich world boss | FrostLich gear fragments, arena scrolls, and stat shards |
| Gaia | Defeating the Gaia world boss | Gaia gear fragments, arena scrolls, and stat shards |
| Pyre | Defeating the Ignis world boss | Ignis/Pyre gear fragments, arena scrolls, and stat shards |
For the bosses behind the event crates, see World Bosses. Spawners come pre-loaded with the mob that drops them — see Custom Mobs for what they spawn.
INFO
The Vote crate is the one you'll open most. Every vote hands you a Vote key (and sometimes a Spawner key), and hitting a server-wide Vote Party rains down extra Vote and Spawner keys for everyone who voted that day.
How opening works
- Get a key. Keys are items you hold in your inventory.
- Go to the crate. Standard crates are at spawn — run
/warp crates. The event-boss crates appear in the world as part of their boss event. - Preview or open. Left-click a crate to preview its prizes; right-click while holding the right key to open it.
- Watch the roll. The crate cycles through its prizes and locks in on one at random, then hands it straight to you.
Rarer pulls fire off a firework, and the rarest prizes are broadcast to the whole server so everyone knows when someone hits a jackpot.
WARNING
Crates don't work in the Nether dimension. Open your keys at spawn or wherever the crate is placed.
Prize rarity tiers
The standard crates (Wilderness, Nether, End, Utopia) share the same rarity ladder. Every open is weighted — common prizes come up constantly, while the top tiers are genuinely rare and announced to the server.
| Tier | Roughly how often | What you can expect |
|---|---|---|
| Common | ~47% | Stacks of blocks, experience bottles, small cash |
| Uncommon | ~30% | Bigger block stacks, larger cash, useful materials |
| Rare | ~13% | Diamond/netherite blocks, custom crafting materials |
| Super Rare | ~8% | Premium materials, custom fishing rods, Spawner keys |
| Legendary | ~1.4% | Custom weapons, staves, and high-value treasures (broadcast) |
| Mythical | ~0.4% | Top-end materials and consumables (broadcast) |
| Godlike | ~0.2% | The very best a crate can offer (broadcast) |
TIP
Want to skip the bad luck? The Store sells crate-tier boosters that guarantee a minimum rarity on your next opens (Rare+, Super Rare+, or Legendary+), plus a Crate Rewards booster that doubles what you pull. See Boosters.
The event-boss crates (Broodmother, FrostLich, Gaia, Pyre) work a little differently. Instead of the seven-tier ladder, each has a focused prize pool tied to its boss — random stat shards, arena tribute keys and teleport scrolls, and the armor fragments, weapon fragments, and refinement prisms used to build that boss's gear set. The fragments and prisms are the rarest pulls and are broadcast to the server.
The Boss and Spawner crates are themed differently again: the Boss crate's prizes are keys to other crates, and the Spawner crate is all mob spawners, weighted from common farm animals up to rare combat spawners.
